WhatsApp Business for teams that can actually reply
WhatsApp Business comes in two forms. The free WhatsApp Business app runs on one phone and suits a shop, salon or small office. The WhatsApp Business Platform connects to software, supports several agents and charges per message under Meta's published pricing.
Which one you need depends less on features and more on who's replying. A single owner in Myrtle Beach answering between customers is well served by the app. A hotel front desk with shift changes probably isn't.
In this section we cover click-to-chat links, QR codes that open a WhatsApp thread, business profiles, quick replies, labels, catalogs and opt-in rules. We also cover the question most guides skip: do your customers actually use WhatsApp? For a business with many international visitors, often yes. For a local service business in South Carolina, a phone number or text line might still be the better first choice.
