On the wire

SMS is the most direct channel most businesses have. It lands on the lock screen, it doesn't need an app, and it works on every phone. That's exactly why it gets abused, and why carriers and regulators watch it closely.

We treat SMS marketing as a permission business. Someone gave you their number for a reason: an appointment reminder, a pickup notice, a table-ready text. Stay inside that reason and texting is one of the most useful tools you have. Drift outside it and you're the reason people stop giving out their numbers.

This section covers opt-in wording, keyword sign-ups, US carrier registration (10DLC) explained without the acronyms, two-way texting for scheduling, review requests that don't nag, and quiet hours. We don't cover bulk blasts to bought lists, because we don't recommend them.

No Tap Talk articles sit in this section yet. The Zonka Feedback headlines below cover the feedback side of texting in the meantime.
